The northern spurs of the Pontic mountains in the north-east of Türkiye and the western slopes of mountain Mtirala in southwestern Georgia.

Etymology: Named after Richard J. Clark (b. 1935) and Erica D. Clark, American herpetologists, collectors of the holotype.
