Eremias arguta uzbekistanica
CHERNOV, 1934
A submontane subspecies of foothills of the SE and S in the Nuratau and Zerafshan/Gissar Ranges, south to at least Kyzylcha village, approaching the southern-most extent of the species’ distribution. Recorded a little further south in neighbouring extreme SE Turkmenistan , thus perhaps present to the east/northeast in contiguous hills of N Surkhandarya (Uzbekistan). Recorded east to Tashkent province , but appears absent from (lowland) C/S Sirdarya, Namangan (possibly in Tien Shan foothills of northwest), Fergana and Andijan provinces.
