of the real lizards, family Lacertidae
Subspecies:
Gallotia galloti (cf. intergrade galloti–eisentrauti)
Note:
Intergrades arise naturally along the geographical boundaries where the ranges of subspecies meet. Such animals exhibit a combination of the characteristic traits of both subspecies and can display the full spectrum of intermediate forms in terms of coloration and patterning. Intergradation zones exhibit dynamic patterns and are therefore generally difficult to represent cartographically. The present map provides a hypothetical depiction based on information from the literature and photographic evidence.
